Privacy Policy
Effective June 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ShippingOS, Inc. (“ShippingOS,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our shipping and fulfillment platform, websites, and related services (the “Service”). It applies to visitors, account holders, and people whose shipping details pass through the Service.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account & profile. Name, email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), company name, and billing contact details.
- Order & shipping data. Sender and recipient names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, package contents, weights, dimensions, and customs information needed to rate-shop and buy labels.
- Payment information. Payments and postage are processed by third-party processors; we receive limited details (e.g., card brand, last four digits, billing ZIP) but do not store full card numbers.
- Support & communications. Messages you send us and related metadata.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and actions taken, collected via logs and cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
- Authentication cookies. Strictly-necessary cookies that keep you signed in.
Information from third parties
When you connect a sales channel (for example Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, or TikTok Shop), we receive order and fulfillment data from that platform per the permissions you grant. We also exchange shipment and tracking data with carriers (such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL) to buy labels and return tracking status.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and secure the Service, including buying and printing labels and syncing tracking.
- Authenticate users and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Process payments, postage, and any applicable per-label fees.
- Provide support and respond to your requests.
- Improve and develop features, and analyze aggregate usage.
- Send service and transactional messages, and — where permitted — product updates you can opt out of.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service:
- Carriers — recipient and parcel details required to generate labels and tracking.
- Connected sales channels — fulfillment and tracking written back to the platform that originated the order.
- Service providers — hosting, database, authentication, payment processing, email, and analytics vendors acting on our behalf under contract.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then retain limited records as required for legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. Shipping records may be retained to support tracking history and chargeback or carrier claims.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email privacy@shipos.ai. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
U.S. state privacy rights (including California)
California residents (and residents of other states with comparable laws) may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. You may use an authorized agent to submit requests.
European Economic Area / UK
If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing are: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, your consent (where requested), and compliance with legal obligations. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. International transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed credentials — to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
The Service is for business use and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
